The Law of Diminishing Returns
holds true
sadly
even in love
Every time I look into your eyes
there's a higher investment
I will never again
love as I once did
Count the times
Count the times you've been hurt
and you'll find
(with a simple calculation)
that economics
are more painful
than what feelings can explain.

But sometimes, love is forever.
Sadly, I'm fictional.
Love changes, I think, it doesn't disappear. There's neurotic love, and there is mellow, mature love. The former becomes the latter, and it's no bad thing, in my experience. It's just the Law of Unintended Consequences.
Hm, I think I agree part with Athela, part with david. Love pulsates. And if we hold on during the periods it falters, it will last forever, in one form or another.
Love is hormones affecting your brain, but oh how sweet it tastes :D
